Can my friend who is leaving hong kong transfer her DH helper contract in our name.So that the helper can start working with us and we dont have to go through the application process again.

No. One contract has to be terminated and the other applied for. However, the process should be a lot easier than a new contract for someone new to HK. And another suggestion for the sake of expediency: The new employer should think up a valid reason for needing the helper to commence straight away without returning home (so that she won't fall foul of the new PH laws that are muddled at best). Of course she will still have to return home within the next 12 months but hopefully by that time the varios PH govt agencies involved will have sorted out the mess and it will be a smoother process.

Agree with TC, but somehow the previous employer should write a letter to Immigration Department of there endorsement the helper to you.
