I will terminate my 2 maids next week Monday & ask them to leave my home at once.
After reading all the reports in this forum, I am afraid that they over react & do something wrong.
This is why, we would like to have a lawyer with us as a witness when terminating them.
Would anyone be able to recommend 1 to us & advise roughly how much this would cost....
Thank you for your help.

Labour Dept. told me on the phone, only a lawyer as a witness would be valid in case of trial.
I assumed the Police would not come for small details like these. Do you think it would work in HK?

Why don’t you ask the labour Dept. as witnesses, it’s better rather then Lawyer? It’s free. Cause the helper normally only deal with Labour Dept. if they have complaint.

They do not wish to come, they only advise to use a lawyer...

They just do not perform as well as they used to do, they refuse to do some chores (like cleaning our cars - we only ask them to clean them once a week), they do not adapt to our growing children & keep on arguing all the time for any ridiculous details in front of our children, which is totally not acceptable.
We are afraid for them to over react & make crazy things like some guys described in other threads, this is why we prefer to get prepared....

You do not need to ask lawyer themselves
Speak to a lawyer, and request the lawyer's legal executive to be present. They are experienced and can give affidavit if anything goes wrong. A lot of time they have more experience. Or you can ask the lawyer' staff who is responsible for eviction.
International law firms will be expensive. Go to a local law firm
