i intend to use my dad's helper under his contract to go holidaying with me,to look after my kids.im sure the helper has no problem with that.i called the immigration of the country im going to and hk immigration, both said as long as helper has no problem, they shouoldnt see why not i bring her for about ten days only.
problem is i dont want helper to haunt me after if we/my family decided to end her contract.should i write it in paperwork for her to content.
i been calling the labour office for 4 days now, noone pick up the phone...
i need suggestions on these matters.

I'm surprised that you got such an agreeable response from the HK Immigration Department because, as mentioned by cara, it is 100% illegal. I'm assuming that your helper is a non-local, otherwise it probably IS legal. Sometimes you can get a variety of responses from different officers at the ID but with such a blatantly obvious breach it's my guess that the officer didn't fully appreciate the situation. The overseas ID probably doesn't care too much provided that you sign a guarantee for the actions & expenses etc of the helper while she is in their country.

a risk im taking here i understand as it is absolutely an agreement betw me and her and the immigration is not going to question the many people in and out of hk everyday, bringing a maid along.im surprised also i had such an agreeable responses from all the authorities i been calling lately, but since we are going to helper's own country and she can see her kids,i dont think helper is going to fault me at the moment.we will see how it goes, mabbe i wont take the risk.

I don't see any problem here if both sides mutually agree. The Immi is right: you are not sharing her in HK. Assumeing, she ia a tourist going out of HK, she is your friend and she just goes to the same places with you. She loves kids and she enjoys taking care of them.
The other country may have issues but you say it doesn't. True, because how can somebody prove that you paid money for taking care of your kids unless the made call police and says you are exploiting her?

i really don't believe most countries give a monkey if you travel for a holiday with a helper or nanny so long as it's not a permanenet move. If you ask officially they will no doubt tell you the law but i honestly don't think they check this stuff or care.

i totally agree with the 3 above replies.i found out only this morning after trying calling immi for 4 days that if she is travelling as a guest or holidaying ,provided no housechores, then is ok.as long as out of hk,they dont care, provided you dont ask her to do work.
that said,i ahve also decided this morning not to bring her,too much issues here.thanks for all replies.
