Statutory Holiday Pay to New DH?

My DH started in late February of this year. Do I need to pay her for the coming Ching Ming Festival, Good Friday and Easter Monday? If not and she agrees to work on those days for payment, is this legal?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Good Friday and Easter Monday are not statutory holidays for DH.

For new maids who have worked for less than 3 months are entitled to statutory leave but without pay. It is entirely up to you whether you want to pay or not.

If your helper is Christian, it would be a good gesture to give her Good Friday off instead of Ching Ming.
