My helper is going to finish her 2-year contract. I hired her from HK, she didn't go back to the Phillipines since. Do I need to give her a one-way ticket to send her home or round trip tickets? I don't plan to renew the contract. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. But I was told by agency that 1 contract should cover 2 tickets, since my helper was already in hK, and i didn't pay for her to come here, i should pay round trip when she leaves. Is that true?

the contract would only cover 2 tix when you will hire the helper who's in the phils.

when/if you helper leaves your employment for whatever reason,ie you terminated the contract, etc you still have to give her a ONE WAY TIX to the phils.

At LEAST 2 way ticket per contract. I said at least because since 2002 when the levy was imposed work visa were granted on a 12 month bases. The helper needs to go out and come back to HK on or before the end of the first year. Then the immigration officer will stamp " journey cmpleted" on one side of her passport that will validate her work visa for the next 12 months.

There's a grey line as to who will pay for that journey, but in our case and as I explained to my employer it has to be paid for by the employer - most just take a day trip to China or Macau- or they will be fined 120k if the helper do not leave HK within 2 years and the possible refusal for a re-contract.
