Can helper go to UK on a tourist visa?

In relation to my previous post can our helper accompany back to the UK if just for one week on a tourist visa? How easy is it for her to apply and get a tourist visa from the British Consulate?

I believe they can go on a tourist visa which these days is mulitple entry valid for 6 or 12 months. The cost is just over $3000 for the visa if the helper is a holder of a Philippine or Indonesian passport.
