Can anyone advise me on the title of a simple cook book that my helper can use to help her cook a variety of basic, Chinese and Western dishes.

There are small cookbooks by Jocelyn Denega, Cookery Class for Filipino Helpers $28 There's a version for Indonesian helpers too).
The series include steam, stir-fry, soups and the recipes are very easy to follow..The small magazine shop in Citygate carries them. Check out other bookstores too
