Renewed Contract Visa Activation

We have just renewed my helpers visa after two years of her being with us.


I know she has to leave HK within the first year of receiving her renewal. Question is....


Does she have to return to her home country or can she simply just leave HK and go anywhere also for how long must she be out of HK?

Has she been home in the past two years? If yes then she do not have to, she could just exit either in China/Macao..anywhere. Otherwise, yes she must and you must insist or you will be fined HK$150k ( forgot the exact amount but it is somewhere in that figure)

I just renewed with my helper yesterday. She went home (Philippines) in April. They gave her 1 year visa. And told her Macau isn't counted as an exit.

Shenzhen counts.
