hi.. can anybody please advice me on this one? i use to work in hk as a domestic helper. im in the philippines now but i would like to come back to hk as a tourist. my friends tell me it is easy but im not so sure. you see the day my visa expired, i went to schenzen and came back to hk the next day. i was hoping the immigration will give me an extension as i needed to sort some stuff before i went home. the immigration officer invited me to a room where they interviewed me. apparently they were not satisfied so they gave me only 2 days and marked CSL (soon country leave) on my passport. if i go back to hk as tourist, will i be allowed to enter again? i haven't applied for a visa yet as im not sure of my chances.

As a Filipino citizen, you don't need to get a visa before entering HK. Immigration grants you 14 days to visit HK upon entry. As long as you don't have a history of over-staying in the past, then you shouldn't have any problems re-entering HK.

It's not automatic that any Filipino citizen can come into Hk even on a tourist visa. Our helper's brother arrived last week, and as he through the HK immigration, a lot of questions were asked, where he is staying, why he is here? Is it to look for a job? Etc.
On that flight, he said there were over 100 Filipino citizens, but over half of them were turned back, sent home on a plane by the immigration. They were NOT allowed into HK.
Accomodation is a big question... the immigration said there is NO way that they are to believe you can stay at a 2-3 star hotel in HK for 2 weeks..... it costs a lot. And if you give a "friend's" address or "employer's " address, they call to verify it.

Those whose passport were stamped CSL are under suspicion--- coming to HK for work on a tourist visa. The next time you try to enter HK, you may be given just 2 days visa or will be refused an entry. So what they normally do is change their passport.
I know this for a fact because my co-worker's husband goes to HK whenever my boss and I travels to Europe he has been here at least 6 times in the last 2 years and has changed his passport 2x. Once, he obtained a 3 month visa from China Embassy in the Philippines but was granted just a week visa upon entering HK when the Immigration officer saw the CSL stamp on his passport.
Otherwise, all other got 2 weeks, unless a longer visa was obtained from the consulate.
