Are DH's entitled to Easter Public Holidays?

I believe that all Domestic Helpers are entitled to all 'Statutory Holidays' but not all 'Public Holidays'. I checked on the Labour Government's website to see what the Statutory Holidays are for 2008 and the Easter public holidays are not listed.

I just wanted to check if anybody know's if Easter holidays are Statutory or optional.

Optional, in fact optional for all employers in all industries. Some give the time off, some do not.

As said by evildeeds it's optional but i always give them off as allot of helpers are religious and it's important to them tthat they attend church etc.
