Disappearing helpers? What's the legal point on this?

I have had 2 friends in the last few days who have had their helpers disappear back to their home land. One has left lots of debts behind - with a bank and other helpers. The other lied that she needed to attend a funeral for her father in law and just didnt return back here. Both were treated extremely well I should add.

Has anyone had this happen to them? Should I contact immigration to stop them returning

easily?

It's rare but does happen. You cannot do anything, and in fact nothing to do with you!

It's the employers who need to conatct immigration as sponsers of the visa. They should inform immigration as soon as they are aware of this so that visa's can be cancelled and they are able to start the hunt for another DH.
