our friend are currently paying their full time live out helpr 6k.............is it ok to negotiate this if it is a brang new contract?


what is the going rate?

6k is pretty high. Not that a good helper isn't worth it. It should also be noted that live outs are illegal in most cases.

6K isn't high for live out, of course we all know it's illegal in most cases but people still seem to do it so little point in going over that again.

not high - it is what we pay ours - it does include her food allowance tho - $5k salary and $1k food - and yes - live out is illegal - you have to have it approved by Immigration, which is almost impossible i understand
