I have been with this hepler for about 1 year.

She is looking after me, my baby since his birth (now 1 year), and my boyfriend who moved in recently so 2 adults and 1 baby.

I beleive her job hasn't been too much. I sleep with baby so she never needed to wake up during mid night and I do all the cooking for the baby and myself

Since she worked for me, she has never be very cheerful person but recently got worse. First of all, when I ask her to do something, NO REPLY or Um, very rarely yes mum.

In the morning, when I am up she will be up too(sometimes she wakes up before me) even I say Good morning, I seldome hear Good morning back.

Yesterday I got really furstrated with her attitude... I talked it out what is making her unhappy before but still no improvement of her attitude...

What worries me is she might do something to my son so I don't want to make her so upset.

She is fine with baby, break stuff time to time, loves to iron but hard to say top ranking helper....

Any advise?

happens all the time after about 1 year. I wouldn't jump to conclusion that she's necessarily doing something to your son, unless you see evidence or she's given you a definite reason to suspect that.

Most of the time, helper becomes "bored" and "unhappy" ..... but you did mention she's NEVER been a very cheerful person, so that's something that's just in her personality.

from my personal experience, attitude is something that's really hard to change ...even after lots of heart to heart talks. If her "heart" is not in your household, and not with her present job, then there's nothing to do except 1) You continue to accept this attitude or 2) change helpers.

I would try talking to her... something like " I have noticed you have been quite unhappy, and very quiet lately. Is there something bothering you ? "

If she says' nothing" then there's not much you can do.
