Hello

I have made the huge mistake to employ full time my helper which i knew personnaly since a few years. As there is no employer/boss relationship it makes it very hard for me because she does not listen to me and she thinks she is free as a bird. I actually got trapped by getting her contracted.

Now I want to fire her, her contract will last in feb 2009 but I don't want to keep her until then, on the other hand, I don't want to cause her trouble.

Someone has any advise ??

Thanks for your help

When you say "I don't want to cause her trouble", what do you mean? "trouble" as to she will have to find another job? Well all human beings face that kind of trouble when losing thier job, so if you want to terminate the contract just do it.

The only thing you will have to do is pay the one month notice if it's immediate or give one months notice.

I know it's hard because we all know how difficult it is for them but sometimes you need to think of yourself first and your quality of life, there is nothing selfish in it.

Good luck.

Actually, you are not trap your the boss and if things don't go well, and you had give her the chance to change and she is still the same, then she does not deserve the posistion in your home, the trueth is their are money deserving DH out their looking for a job. You mention trouble, well she ask for it. Give her one month notice and for your peace of mind let her leave the house 2 weeks before the notice finnish, it should give her time to find new employer.
