Need to take both our Helpers to Australia

Last year we took our Filipino Helper with us to Australia to help us on our annual holiday (we had 2 kids under 2 years old). I now have 3 kids, all under 3 years old! (including a 7 week old baby) and need to take both our Helpers with us this time as my husband cannot come with us due to work demands here in HK. I contacted the Australian Consulate and was told we can only take one Helper each time, as per their policy.

Does anybody know if there is any LEGAL way around this, such as taking one as our Helper and another just on a Tourist Visa, or something like that? Has anybody taken 2 Helpers with them to Australia at one time?

I'd be very interested and appreciative to hear any suggestions or advice.

Many thanks.

You would be having someone working in Australia whilst on a tourist visa, and that is illegal.

Also, immigration officers in Australia have to deal with very many devious and sophisticated smuggling, copyright, controlled substances/plant and trafficking issues effectively. Thus, it would seem highly likley they would not see through that plan quite quickly.

Could you not hire someone locally for the time you are there? A babysitter?

I appreciate all the input guys, but feel a little ambushed here! It was just a plea for any helpful suggestions!

We are allowed to take ONE domestic helper with us to Australia, legally, and they officially enter on a 'Tourist Visa'. Just wanted to point that out.

Thanks.

Does anyone know how long the process to get a visa approved takes? Is there an application fee?

It took about 2 weeks for us last time from the time we submitted the application at the Consulate to the time we picked up the Passport with visa. I forget how much the application fee was, around HK$800 from memory I think.
