Is there anyway to terminate DH immediately without having to give one month notice?

My helper has stolen some of my stuffs and either sleeping or texting friends while looking after my toddler.

I want to terminate the contract and feel that she does not deserve the one month salary in lieu of notice. I don't want having to give one month notice either as I don't know how much more would she steal during the time before she has to go.

So, is there anyway I can terminate the contract immediately?

If you have hard proof of the stealing, you can report to the police. Stealing is a serious misconduct and she would not be entitled to the payment in lieu. Otherwise, you need to give her a no. of warning before you can prove misconduct. Sorri.....

I wonder what things she did steal from you...food? toiletress?

maybe she's not getting enough sleep during the night that's why she has to catch some sleep? can't you ask her not to text if you mind? or is her texting resulted to your toddler's accident or whatsoever? (Im not wishing such though) why should you result to immediate termination and still not give her her due....

hm Is she new in here? Stayed with you for just a couple of months? tsk tsk... there goes another story to tell....

Thank you Jennyt and GreenValleys. Your replies are very helpful.

To answer apple79. I have a set time for her to work, it's 7am to 6 pm each day so I am sure she gets plenty of sleeping time. Let's just say I am a good employer and she is taking advantage of me. I won't go into detail here but thanks for your reply.
