Do I buy her ticket home after she quits?

My helper has been with me for 1.5 years and I am happy with her work. She has some family matters and wants to end the contract early, which is fine with me. My question is, do I still need to buy a ticket to fly her home and pay her pro rata vacation days? I want to follow the rules. Your advice is very much appreciated. JLW

jlw3207 wrote '1.5 years' not 15 years. Maybe this is her 1st time dealing with a live-in helper so she wanted to make sure but nevertheless, the contract she kept should have covered all the rules (although some of the rules are in grey areas).

I appreciate everyone's comment and advice. I want you to know that the contract as well as the government booklet does not mention this issue.

Actually your green contract does specifically tell you what you are responsible for under point 7. As for the terms of the other stuff, the Labour Dept as a book, this is a link called "Practical Guide for employment of FDH, sort of a FAQ type of thing.
