We are interveiwing a lady on Friday, who's current employers are relocating to Singapore, I think she has been with them 10 months, and comes highly recommended, if we decide to take her on what do I need to do to make transfer legal? as it will be the first time we have employed a DH. She will need a new contract, I believe she has already a visa. Thankyou

Have a look at the website: http://www.labour.gov.hk/eng/plan/iwFDH.htm. You can also contact immigration, they are quite helpful. You can ask if she needs to go back to her country of origin or if she can stay here due to the fact that her employers are relocating.
If she comes highly recommended, then snap her up, helpers get jobs so quickly.

I would add that with regard to the must leave rule from greenvalleys on the point of leaving HK. If the employer is the one who breaks the contract for the specific reason that they are leaving HK or for financial reasons, the DH in question may apply to the HK IMD for a special circumstnace interview and based on the results of that interview they may go directly to the new employer once the contracts have been processed.
The new employer must comply with all the regular applications as required by IMD etc. and the DH MUST have a letter stating the reason for her dismissal is that the employer is leaving HK. Good luck,
