Agency messing us around. What to do?

Sorry to hear about this - we are constantly hearing reports about dodgy agency practices (and I am told that some of these agents end up with criminal convictions for various violations of the law). Interestingly some agents were caught out making threatening/pornographic calls to helpers who registered with us when we first started this service - apparently trying to dissuade them from using the site to find an employer.

A helper with a FINISHED contract will be processed very quickly, does not need to go back after the finished contract and can start working for you immediately. I did this 4 years ago. However, like you have mentioned, now helpers are very choosy and you will have problems getting an above-described helper to work for your family. I personally came across this last Sunday when I interviewed some helpers. Some of them openly told me that they want a family "with only one grown up child or no children at all". I have 2 kids (10 and 2 yo). You can try to attract them by offering at least HK$4000 and no late night work. I still doubt you'd succeed. It's funny though, some helpers who have been choosy and rejected potential employers till their visa expiry are more willing and happy to get any job.
