Annual trip back to country of origin

We've been told by two potential DHs that we will have to provide return tickets for every 12 months served as part of the deal.

Another potential DH said that she will have to proof to the immigration that she was out of the country twice by having two entry/exit stamps in her passport (same thing: one for every 12 months served for each contract). However, she said she doesn't not need to go back to the country of origin but just a day trip to Macau will suffice.

1. I am under the impression that employer will only need to provide an air ticket back to the country of origin upon completion of the contract or terminating. Are employers obligated to provide a return trip back home for every 12 months served?

2. Is there any truth in having two entry/exit stamps in the passport story?

Just wondering if this is a new trend amongst expat employers or am I missing something?

Cheers

You only have to pay for one flight per contract, to get to HK at start of contract, to return home at end of contract, any flights during the 2 year contract are paid for by the helper, unless you want to pay.

Usually the helper has to return home at the end of the contract, but I think there is exceptions where they can go straight to their next employer, and their trip home is deferred for a year, but after that year they have to have an exit and re-entry into HK, which I think can be taken in any place, not neccessarily home.
