My helper is currently waiting for her visa to Canada. My helper has asked us to not officially "end" her contract, so that she can come back from the Philippines (she will go homoe end of the month) when the Canadian visa is ready - apparently it is easier (cheaper?) to come back if you are still using an employment visa.
Question: My helper's health insurance expires on March 1 - if she is "officially" under contract (but really at home in the Philippines waiting for a Canadian visa) do we have to extend her health insurance for a couple of months while she is in the Philippines? She doesnt need the coverage since she wont be in HK, but am I legally obligated to have it in place?
