Helper didn't go back to Philippines after her old contract

Our helper has been with us for 3 months now and didn't go back to the Philippines after her old contract ended before starting with us. She therefore needs to go back for a minimum of 7 days before the end of the first year. I just wanted to know what I'm liable to pay. Presumably her old contract should have covered the trip home at the end so I'd only be liable for the return to HK leg - or is that wrong? She's pretty street-smart so just wanted to be clear on my legal obligations. Thanks!

AFAIK she need not go back to The Philippines. As long as she leaves HK it is all right. Macau will do fine.

You are, however, still responsible for her ticket home at the end of the contract, in addition to the ticket from PH to HK.
