Anyone know where I can buy the above?. I don't know the real name and can't find it on the internet but it is on sale in HK. It is a pod-like room put together for eg on your roof and contains furniture etc all built in. I think it's about $40,000.
Thanks.

I've not heard of this before. If you have the space why not just let your helper have your spare room instead?

Thanks for your replies . The one I am looking for is custom designed as an extra room with everything built in. (It is not a shed of any sort.)

Hi, We have one of these rooms, not for sale unfortunately, we bought it from somebody who had it on a roof top of a 4 story appartment, which is not allowed by management, in case of storms etc, although very heavy there is a posibility these could be blown off causing real damage. We live in a garden house, and have it on the patio. It is made by INABA, which is a japanese firm, they do all kinds of portable rooms/extensions etc, if you do an internet search you can find them. But check with your manegement first whether they are allowed, because they are very expensive, and even worse you might be asked to remove it!

Also note that it would be considered an illegal structure by the government and you may be forced to remove it if they know about it. (The way HK regs work is that you are not allowed to increase your gross floor area without applying for permission, a complex process that usually results in refusal).
