Multiple Mobiles in Collections

Today received two letters from a collection agency for outstanding mobile phone debts for our helper. I inadvertently opened her mail as the letters were sent to our address w/ out a name... obv assumed mail was ours. Anyway, our helper is very, very good and so this is distressing.


First, she's over her head in debt and we are yet to find out if there is more. So far, only $1200.


HOWEVER, both mobile numbers were registered to her but NEITHER is the number she uses with us !?


I have heard misc chit chat about helpers selling phones and running a side business but I do not have any idea how this works. I am fearful that these letters are the tip of an iceberg and want to understand the potential before I confront our helper.

you should sit her down and explain your mistake of opening the mail intended to her


tell her that what she does on her own free time is her own business whether she has 1 or 20 fone lines. however you should sternly warn her that any consequences from this that would affect her work or your family in a negative way would not be tolerated and will be grounds for dismissal.


dont go into hysterics. just explain to her the facts and the possible consequences,


start thinking about giving her written warning letters in the future.
