I am interviewing potential helpers this weekend and would really appreciate any advice. I found a few good ones. Some finished their contracts. The others have legit reasons for leaving...employers moving or no longer need a helper for financial reasons or the children are grown up, etc. . Would you be suspicious of any of the latter 'reasons?' I'm a bit nervous, but I some of the one who have NOT finished a contract sound better than some who have. I guess I should maybe ask for 2 references if I'm not sure about one?
Also, does anyone have any type of daily, weekly or monthly schedule for helpers who also have children in the house. I'm not a very organized person, but I'm trying to improve!
Does this sound reasonable? The helper will only help with the children when she can, depending on her workload, the ironing, etc.
Daily...laundry, sweep, do dishes, quick house pickup, mop kitchen daily, wipe out sinks in bathrooms, water plants help with dinner.
Weekly...Dust, change bed linens, clean out food in fridge, mop and clean bathrooms once or twice a week, 2X /week...iron or when needed...
1-2X weekly vacuum sofas and under them...
Monthly --help clean air con filters, clean walls and windows
