... just like what your company might have done in your office. Especially when the help stays in alone most of the time to take care of a baby.
Anyone here also have that installed?

Colleagues (Western and local) with babies at my work have them installed and do monitor helpers from desktop computers. I know at least 6 colleagues who do it.

It is common but I find it rather pointless and also offensive to the helper. If you trust your helper so little that you need a camera, you need to get a helper you trust instead. Installing a camera doesn't make a helper more trustworthy, it just gives the employer an illusion of control.
Also, imagine the stress of working and knowing that your boss is monitoring you like this, ready to pounce on any mistake. Wouldn't you rather have a helper who feels she is trusted? I would.

Quite a few of my colleagues (all expats) have installed one and so did I. We all had one IP cam installed in our living rooms, where our little ones would be playing most of the time anyway. It's great that we get to see what our babies/toddlers are doing while we are at work.
Mine has a great audio function (Level One), so I caught my helper red-handed talking on her mobile for more than an hour while my baby was obviously left alone in the room and crying for attention. She didn't realize that we could hear her even if she took the baby out of the camera's view. I monitored the situation for a week, even though she swore she would NEVER ever talk on the phone while she's working. I told her to take a break whenever my baby is sleeping, where she can either take a short nap, talk on her phone, whatever, but NOT while my baby is awake.

City Jammer, which model is your Level One IP cam? And how much?

I have the FCS-1060. I had a company installed it, set up the website and got us a wireless router for our home. I think the total came up to less than $2,500.
