Hello,
I am interested in perhaps offering to hire an Indonesian helper I contacted from Asiaxpat. Her current employer will terminate her contract as he/she is going back to the home country next month. According to the HK Immigration dep't this is one of the accepted reasons for termination so she should be able to have her visa processed in HK if I offer her a new contract. However, the Immigration dep't were not able to tell me what exactly the Indonesian consulate will require from me or the helper - though the person I spoke with did think the consulate would definitely be involved and asking for money.
Has anyone ever hired an Indonesian DH in the way I'm considering? I'm leery of putting myself or my potential helper in a situation where we'll need to pay exorbitant fees - I don't even know what the standard fee should be or what exactly the Indonesian consulate can charge either one of us for.
Any advice?

We just signed yesterday through Java Maid 25737666 or 97934298 and have had a positive experience. The cost for us was $2500 + an extra $680 for her medical and they assred us there's no fee for the helper.
Our 1st helper was Indonesian but left us due to pregnancy...our next was a set in her ways Philipina and was rotten and our 3rd will start in 2 weeks and is from the same provence as our 1st helper...we're very positive about indonesians...lovely people!
BTW, I don't hate phili DH's....just that we had a rotten one! I have a few great friends from the Phils!
