I am looking for a female helper cum driver (legal). Do you know of any agency or company that help to provide this service. Most or all the helpers on asiaexpat are not drivers.


If you have any personal recommendation, please let me know

There are some female helpers HK driver's licenses. You'd need to get one of those, then apply for permission for her to take up driving duties. As cara says, permission to drive the employer to work is never given. Typically, they are allowed to take kids to school and activities, and run errands.

My guess is that you will need to go to an agency and give them your specific requirements - including the holding of a current HK driving licence, or at least such a licence from her home country that would facilitate her passing the test here.


And as you clearly know the rules there's no need for me to mention the specific permission etc etc.

Hi, I'm looking for the same. Was thinking getting a male so can have a handyman as well for heavy luggage, gardening etc but a lady can also do child-minding (I have a 6m old baby). Anyone has any suggestions of pros and cons? Anyway, check out HK magazine classifieds online or HK dollarsaver online there are some ads by drivers. Asiaexpats make you pay like $200 and don't have many drivers, mostly DH. Hope this helps.

Best is thru word of mouth actually. Ask any of your friends who have a driver, they will know another driver - ask them to ask their friends for a female driver. The HK female drivers association at the Philippines Consulate is not working. They never returned my call.
