I have just employed a sri lankian helper. She had to pay tax in Sri lanka prior to coming to hong kong! Do I have to pay this or is this here responsibility. I will still probably pay it but would like to know my responsibilities.

She would be responsible for it. The only tax you need to pay is the HK levy, and that's suspended now anyway.
