Hello. I am looking for some suggestions on how to go about getting a maid/ cleaning person only once in a while. Usually I clean my own apartment, but sometimes I could use some help when I don't have time to do so myself. I've heard that you cannot go to an agency for this type of service (since it isn't full time), but I'm not sure if this is true or not. I've also heard it's good to get a recommendation from a friend, but none of my friends use any type of cleaning service! Any suggestions? Please advise. Thanks!

mm26hk, so you need a part timer' from where are you? i mean, your live in what area? because you need a helper once a week, for 2-4 hrs, i think your location is important too.

To cara: I have never heard of Merry Maids. Is this a domestic helper service? Is it possible to hire someone to help for only a couple hours on an as-needed basis?
To rdnmunoz: I live near Caine Road and am only looking for once a week, maybe only once every two weeks for about 2-3 hours of cleaning.
