Pregnant helper - need a not-so-expensive doctor. Pls help!

My helper is pregnant, and I need to send her for a checkup and possibly an ultrasound scan to a private obstetrician. It's taking too long in the public health system, and after 3 full days spent there, I've decided to send her to a private obstetrician. Also, the doctor at the public health said that they don't give a "fit to fly" certificate to anyone that's pregnant!!..

Could anyone recommend/suggest a doctor here? The only doctors I or my immediate friends seem to know work out of a hospital at the Peak or the Sanatoriam. Am really not keen on spending that much out of my pocket as of now!!

Please help!

Thanks,

-V

Any OBGYN on the Kowloon side will be cheaper. Or simply use a private hospital's private OBGYN in their outpatient's specialist clinics. All you have to do is ring and make an appt.

You could try Dr Maria Magnifica Chan, 10A success Building, 245 Hennessy Road Wan Chai. 2519 9762. She is a Filipina doctor.

I assume your helper insurance should cover the costs.

Is it your responsibility to pay for the costs? I didn't think so.
