Can an experienced mature helper armed with all the documentation realistically be expected to manage to apply for a China visa for me at Wanchai or am I correct in assuming that the missed call/no credit message I just got from her via a borrowed phone means I was asking too much.? I am stuck at work and the visa is urgent.Sigh ...probably all gone to custard...She never seems to run out of phone credit when chatting to friends...would ring the Consulate ifany of their darn numbers worked...which they don't ...ah, Hong Kong...

With the caveat that I am seeing this problem out of context (I don't know your management style for example) I would say that you are not asking too much,
