okay it's like this - posted something earlier to let everyone know of a new airline that has a mnl -hkg- mnl route and offers less expensive fare . but got axed coz it was deemed as an ad
the reason for the post is for everyone to know an alternative for other airlines plying this route knowing that one of the most common q's here is cheapest airfare for domestic help to go home

btw it's seair and it goes to clark, pampanga not manila. they have other domestic routes too.

more info and ideas ....
again- this is not an ad. the philippines comprises of 7000 islands and you don't have to be stuck with one travel option only for your domestic help.
from clark, one can get a Philtranco bus to Manila. they have a reservation system on their website but am unsure how it works and reliability.
philtranco also has bus services to other domestic routes. check their website for bus scheds and routes
accdg to website "Philtranco offers a hassle-free daily Manila-Clark-Manila trip schedule."

Your thinking of cheap fare but what if your helper is living south end of Philippines. Don't you know Clark Pampanga is North Luzon of Philippines. Its still more convenience to arrive at Manila airport than Clark.
If I were your helper I will not accept your offer to arrive at Clark Pampanga if Iam living at Manila. Think of it? You think of a cheaper fare but you want me to arrive at North Luzon of Philippines as Iam living at Manila.ew.. Id better add more to my fare just to arrive at Manila rather than to arrive somewhere because of cheap fare.
The one you are talking is only those who live near at Clark airport. But still many helpers went home arrived at Manila airport rather than Clark airport.

from the labour department:
Do: provide your FDH with free passage to return to his/her place of origin for
home leave upon renewal of the contract
from the immigration department website:
the employer is financially capable of employing the helper, providing him/her with suitable accommodation and of guaranteeing his/her maintenance and repatriation upon termination of his/her contract;the employer is financially capable of employing the helper, providing him/her with suitable accommodation and of guaranteeing his/her maintenance and repatriation upon termination of his/her contract;

from both websites, one can say that : IT IS NOT CRIMINAL to provide your FDH with a long and/or indirect route going home... so long as the final destination is their home
secondly- as per my first post - this is to give forumers options not forcing anyone to take them so their is no need for your rant and rave.
thirdly - forumers here are adults so they can make their own decisions.

I think there is no problems with more options for the employer. The way I see it, the trip home is also a source of negotiation between your helper the employer, my helpers loooooove cathay pacific and I'm not too sure why, I think I read somewhere here that they get more luggage allowance but I've never actually discovered why but because of price I've always gone for the happy medium of phillipine airlines.......they also do not like cebu airlines for some reason!
