Does anyone know if the immigration keeps a record of the reasons a particular helper was terminated? Are there any circumstances that HK gov will not allow the helper to return to HK to work again? What about the onece who have been terminated via summary dismissal?
There are some helpers around that threatens the employer to terminate them without recourse and there is nothign we cna do? Mine for one, once told me to terminate her if we are disatisfied with her performance. I guess they know that they can get the extra months pay and air fare and then, go to some other agencies to register themselves again!

I believe there is if my experience is anything to go by!
Several years ago my helpers sisters (Filippina) came to work in HK through an agency and was dismissed by the family within 5 days of arriving - the reasons she and the agency were given for her termination were that grandmother didn't get on with her as she didn't speak Cantonese and that she couldn't cook Chinese food. (none of these things were flagged up as a prerequisite by the employment agency who brought her over). Despite saying we would help her she decided to go home a she was so upset.
A few years later we decided we wanted a second helper and started to process papers for her. Within a few weeks of lodging the paperwork I received a call from an immigration officer to advise me that the helper I wanted to employ had a"bad record" and "was I aware she had already been to Hong Kong once and had been terminated". He then proceeded to give me the reason as stated above for her termination which they had on file.
I explained that she was personally known to me and that there were 2 sides to every story and said I wanted to continue with processing the contract.
Their reply was fine, but we have a duty to let new employers know of the past history of anyone they want to employ.
I thanked them and her visa was issued shortly after.
Hope this information about my experience helps!

I suspect that if you write in your letter to the Immigration Dept (the one you write within 7 days notifying them that you have terminated the contract of your FDH) that you would not recommend they be employed in HK, and your reasons for dismissal, that they may log that.
I certainly did that after a helper hit my child. I don't know if it prevented her coming back again however.
