I was just wondering if domestic helpers are entitled for this coming october 5 holiday.thanks a lot!

Yes. It was a statutory holiday, and the law says employers MUST give that holiday. however, in the first three months, employers do not need to PAY for it. Thus, one day's pay can be deducted out.
Lately among many employers, and also more domestic workers, it has been wrongly informed that the domestic workers are NOT entitled to the statutory holidays during the first three months - this is WRONG.
(Even worse, is the lie told to some domestic workers, that for the first three months, they are not entitled to any rest day at all.....)
