Letters from loan & phone companies

I terminated a contract with my helper recently. Mainly because I did not really need a full time helper anymore (If she was quick & efficient, I probably kept her though....). She asked me to write a reference letter so I did, only briefly with my contact number. I trusted her. However, I am now getting letters from phone companies & a loan company.... She promised me she would never loan money using our address and she said she paid all outstanding balance for phone companies before she left. She lied to me.


I think the last person (a nice French lady) who contacted me for a reference decided to hire her but feel so sorry for her. I told her honestly that she is slow and still needs a lot of trainings but the lady said it is OK if she is honest.


I do not kept her number. What shall I do....

Hopefully the French lady won't have hired her, it is good to be honest and tell the truth about really bad helpers, it will hopefully keep them out of Hong Kong.

I gave my ex-helper a reference which only told the truth about the few things she was good at,which were not many! mentioned nothing about honesty, as she wasn't very honest either,and nobody wanted to employ her, she went home for good and is still there.

Mind you if debt collectors are now chasing her, that is a a problem, if you have a copy of her termination letter or a copy of her one way ticket home, you can show this to them, this may stop the bothering you.
