Im moving to Shouson hill and want my DH to live out ..does anyone know of any boarding houses locally in Shouson Hill or south side?? Thx

You might find some in Aberdeen, but I think the closest would be in Wan Chai or CWB. There are some close to Leighton Road. I doubt you'll find any in Shouson Hill.


Also note that it is illegal for a Foreign Domestic Helper to live out.

yes i know it is illegal but apparently there are certain special circumstances where you can get permission to live out..

There is only one exception to the rule, and it is not granted anymore. It only still exists because some employments started before the rule was eliminated (back in 2003 if memory serves).


Bottom line: live-out is illegal and there are no exceptions.

yeah its not a cost issue its a privacy having the house to yourself issue!!!8 years we have had a live in..still rules are the rules!!!!

Regarding privacy. Yes you do lose some. However a helper is not a house guest. If you don't want to be "social" you don't have to. Good helpers are good at fading into the background and not being an intrusive presence.


I think with the right helper privacy is not a big issue, because you don't mind having that person around and as mentioned she "disappears" if needed.
