How to terminate contract (visa not issued yet)

Hello

If one signs a contract and has it endorsed at the embassy already, but just before going to Immigration to apply for a visa decides to terminate the contract, what is the procedure for termination for the employer? The DH is already in HK (visa for previous employment will end soon).

As I understand it, the helper hasn't started working for you yet as the visa is not yet processed/approved. You may ask the embassy to "withdraw" the contract. I don't know exactly how it works...
