Returning after maternity leave

My helper is currently on maternity leave and due back 11 march. My husband and I feel it is unlikely she will be able to return to work by this date as passport has not been applied for yet and both her and baby are still here. If she fails or cannot return to work on 11 march does anyone know what my options are?
