Contract-breaking FDHs

We recently interviewed several candidates who either had broke their last contracts or wanted to break their current ones for various reasons. One thing consistently popped up was that they all informed us that they would have to go back to the Philippines to process their visa applications, unlike those who finish their contacts. Is it a new requirement by the HK Immigration or Filipino government? Thanks.

Tighten the control against such helpers by Immigration. Proven.

Thanks, Cara. I guess that just adds an incentive for DHs to break contract so they'll get a trip home after securing another sponsorship. Is that's why there is an increasing number of DHs on this site who are only a few months into their current contracts but are already looking for the next employer?

Actually when the "new" policy enforces, not everyone back to home country can be entered again with valid working visa. They are doing things to stop the bad trend.
