Trust your own instincts ... if you don't have 100% positive "gut feel" about a particular prospect, then you should move on the next one. Why rush? There are literally thousands of candidates available in HK each & every day ... just spend a little (but critical) upfront time searching through the various online postings (including this one) and you will most definitely find not just one, but several viable prospects meeting all your hiring criteria ... I'd suggest you not cross the line between the employer-employee relationship and attempt to turn the relationship into a friendship... of course that doesn't mean not being friendly and appreciative of your helper as we should be with any employees...
