Finished contract & new helper timing

Hi, a helper that I really like has just finished contract and she's agreed to work for me.

However, my current helper has not finished contract.

She will go to Indonesia to wait for me (given her a two months with her daughter) before she comes over.

Here's my question.

If my current helper started working for me on the 2nd of September, when is the earliest I can release her so that it can still be considered finished contract?

For example, can my new helper come over in the beginning of August with my old helper still "considered" finished contract?

If your present helpers contract started 2nd September, then officially it should run out on the week ending 1st September, ( which is the week beginning 27th August-1st September) If your helper is due any holidays you can deduct these weeks off the end of contract to make it shorter and let her go a little earlier, but you will still have to pay her until the end of contract date, then you can let her go saying she has finished her contract.

Your new helper will have to have all her papers processed to legally work for you, and I am not sure how long this would take if she is back in Indonesia. You may have to visit an agency with her to start the process before she goes to Indonesia for a holiday.
