if she's filipino, you can have her contract verified at the phil consul's but you have to provide a copy of the release letter, ie., her months notice then you can pass the verified contract to the Immg. the process normally takes 4-6 weeks, so if you pass her contract before she leaves (provided the immig have proof that she will leave hk ie a tix back to the phils) she'll spend less time in the phils

Unless she gets ID 156 ( or something ) -this is an aprroval from the Immigration for her to start processing her new contract. She could NEVER have her contract verified by the consulate without that to change employer. You could try to call/e-mail ( found this not so helpful at all as you will get standrard replies) or better yet in person talk with an Immigration officer for reconsideration. I know of cases that were granted exception.


Otherwise, Yes, like you said it has to be processed as direct- hire. You could save some time up from the fact that she could have her contract submitted to the Consulate while she is still here but not AFTER THE DATE she will be released from her current employment.
