Hi there,
looking for advice on how to retrive house keys from a helper who discontinued work and defaulted on returning the keys as agreed.
Marabella is her name and i found her off asiaxpat itself. Her number is unreachable since!
Anybody has had a similar distasteful expereince?

I'd suggest you change the locks because if she had bad intentions she could have easily have made a copy

If this helper was working legally, you can report your keys missing, and her not answering phone calls.
If she is working illegally she should not have been available through a public forum, and should not be in HK, plus you should not have been employed part time.
As Ed says immediately change your locks, that will foil her if she has any bad intentions.

No greater risk than if she had returned the keys.
As said by Ed, if she was crooked she could have made a copy any time anyhow (even those security type keys can be easily copied).
Reasons I installed an electronic.door lock include
1. No need to carry any keys
2. Helper and everyone else cant lock themselvss out.
3. No stress if lose keys
4. If helper leaves, reset her code number.

And... report to Police and Immigration First. Once the helper filed her another application here, she will face what she's done.
