Hi guys,
We just hired a DH. She wanted to process the documents by herself because she said that it will be cheaper for her and for us. We agreed to let her do it.
For this process she is asking us to pay the following. Could you please let me know if it is normal:
- Transfer fees: 297,50 HKD
- Visa: 160 HKD
- OWWA: 196 HKD

On the note of fees, don't forget to get helper insurance. HSBC and Zurich offer it among others.

Also right from the beginning if employing an FDH, if you pay out any money for anything, including wages (which are better paid through bank) get receipts and keep them in a very safe place, avoids any possible dispute later on in the employment.
