Miss P,
The mother-in-law lives in Tuen Mun and I live in Sai Kung so I do this route at least once a week.
Unfortunately I never learn road names so I can only give you what I can off the top of my head. What you want to do is head towards Kowloon / the Kwai Chung Terminals. Just before the terminals, there should a road sign for Kwun Tong. Basically this route bypasses the downtown Kowloon area and takes you onto Lung Cheung Road heading towards Kwun Tong. This is long winding up-hill, downhill road so just keep heading for Kwun Tong. Where you want to get off Lung Cheung Road is just past the the Wong Tai Sin Temple, thats the temple just next to the Wong Tai Sin MTR station. You then need to take the flyover to the other side of Lung Cheung Road (which is called Po Kong Village Road) and this will take you to the North side of San Po Kong.
An easier way is to abandon the car altogether. There is a red mini-bus of death (the ones that go at 100km/h after dark), at the back of the Citistore in Tseun Wan (about 5 mins away from the Tsuen Wan MTR station). This goes to Choi Hung, but will pass the San Po Kong, bus station. If you take the red mini-bus a couple of times, you will know what to do when you need to drive there.
