Hi. I just would like to know, is it really necessary to have at least 72 units in college to be able to apply as a nanny in Canada if you are from the Philippines even if you have already worked in HK? I am really confused with this. Or are there still people who are able to go to Canada even if they have less than 72 units?
Hoping to have an answer on this...
Thanks!...

Hi Jahannafaye,
Yes, the 72 units in college/uni is a basic requirement when you apply for work in Canada because it's only equivalent to their secondary education regardless of the length of employment here in Hong Kong. AsiaXPAT offers assistance to candidates who wish to find employment so you should stop by on Sundays if you have further questions. It's 5/F Yat Fat Bldg 44-46 Des Voeux Road, Central.
Regards,
Robin

Thanks for the erply Robin. Another question, so if my friend who is here in HK now for almost 2 years and only has 21 units in college, will not be able to apply for Canada then?

Yes. That is correct. She will not be eligible for the program.
