I have just moved into a new flat in HK with two other young, but busy expats. We are thinking of hiring a full time DH to do washing, shopping, cooking etc
However, I might be relocated in 4-5 months time and another of us is likely to relocate also. I note that the standard contract is for 2 years, but can be terminated with 1 months notice.
Will there be any problem in hiring a helper for a few months only, if we let her know from the outset that it is likely to be short term?
We could hire a part time helper, but think it might be hard to find someone who can cook. We don't mind paying a bit more for the convenience of a full time helper, as long as we can let her go if one of us relocates. Is there anything else we need to consider?

Look in Dollar Saver for a few adverts for part time helpers who have visas who cook - often Sri Lankan (great food!!)
But three blokes on thier own, you probably NEED a full time :)
Another option is, whoever might stay the longest signs the contract, and as your flatmates change (one moves out, another moves in) the new flatmates contribute to the maid salary.
Good luck
