Can anyone clearfy if I need to pay for the air ticket when my DH goes back home for vacation? Or am I only responsible for the return flight when her contract ends.

You are only responsible for the flight to bring her out and the one when she returns at end of the contract - regardless of wether that is the two years or before eg. when contract is terminated for any reason. Many people do pay for the home flight if vacation is being taken in the middle of the contract (especially if it is at the request of the employers eg. they want them to take vacation while they are away or be out of the house over the summer). We have given our helper flights home because othewise she wouldn't go except at the end of each two years which we didn't think was enough and also we wanted her holidays to fall more evenly spaced rather than all at once at the end of contract which was for us in the middle of the school term.

Our helper has just been with us for 3 months. As we agreed before she started that she would head home for 2 weeks whilst we were in OZ. I'm trying to determine if we are responsible for paying her ticket(return)and also paying her vacation/holiday leave?

There was not enough time for her to go home, we made NO expectation. We could at least pay one-way but I still cant find it anything on what it "legally" right - also do you pay them when on leavei.e. paid holidys.
