I urgently need to see a solicitor re: our DH and untrue claims she has made since she resigned (without working notice). I believe the claims are in order to extend her 2 week stay in HK. Can anyone recommend someone I can speak to for legal advice on this? I am out of my depth in this area. Many thanks...

LonelyBoy - too complicated to go into on post and in public ... if you do know of someone who deals with DH issues that would be a great help ...thks

If you have always paid her, with proof i.e. through a bank, and given her all the holidays due, and she has had a provable food allowance given ie paid through bank or signed for, or she eats what you eat if she doesn't get the food allowance, then there shouldn't be much she can claim against you.
Have you informed immigration she has left, you need to do that within seven days of her leaving,
In you position, I would either phone the immigration department, or email them and explain the reasons, and explain about her untrue claims against you. They are open on a Monday, contact them.

Yes I have paid her all salary, all food allowance etc and can prove it. She is claiming many other issues more serious, which is why I need to take legal advice. If it was just as simple as money it would be easy.

if she is missing from duty without informing you, first thing you need to do is to report to police and immigration that she is missing ...
rest you can do later...

See the below link, for the Hong Kong for Domestic Helpers (HDH) which is run by Holly Allan. She may be able to steer you in the right direction, or act as a mediator.
